Aspirin

When Holly joined the band in summer 2025, she brought Aspirin with her. Aspirin evokes the tug of war between lust and incompatibility, desire and avoidance. This paradox is made explicit with the chorus lyrics “Sweet enough to suck on / or chip my big front teeth”. With West’s bass at the helm, the band quickly started to mature the melody with instant improvization, developing Aspirin to be the groovy, swelling, lead single of Bluebelt’s upcoming EP.
